My dearest friends,
It is my absolute pleasure to inform you that the first single from my debut album “Meaningless Little Things” is now available for download! “Love in the Dark” is FREE for you to snag from the interwebs at the following soundcloud link. I would so appreciate it if you would take roughly four minutes out of your day to download and listen.
This album has been such a labor of love, and I am so excited to be able to begin sharing the fruits of this labor with you. Please feel free to pass the link along to your friends if you like what you hear. As a matter of fact, I would be so unbelievably grateful if you did! Also, I’d love to know what you think, so I encourage you to leave a comment on the track if you feel so inclined.
Much love to you all! And thank you so much to all of you who have supported this project along the way. I really and truly cannot thank you enough.
And now, without further ado…. “Love in the Dark.”
Finally moved in all my books, journals, and recording accoutrements from storage. Cooked a delicious meal while listening to Olafur Arnalds and Clint Mansell. Now my puppyson and I are basking in the sunlight pouring in through these huge fourth story northern windows and over the rolling view of Los Angeles, unobstructed all the way to the Griffith Observatory and Hollywood sign.
It only took four and a half months, but I think this apartment finally feels like home. I feel like Rapunzel, if she had loved her tower and cut off all her hair so no one could interrupt her peace. And if she had a pit bull and a chinchilla. And stole wifi.
I’ve forgotten how to be cynical. Somehow, in spite of all of the pain, in spite of all of the bruises and lacerations, in spite of the breaks and fractures and amputations, somewhere small and secret, a granule of hope still radiates, warm, bright, and focused. So, kiss me deeply and taste the place where my faith resides. I long for you to catch the pleasant ache that keeps me breathlessly sighing.
